Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition is a strong Harry Potter adventure at this price, with the PS5 version described as especially magical and the deluxe content adding value for fans. The game delivers an immersive Hogwarts student experience, packed with book callbacks, side quests, open world exploration, and varied combat. The main drawbacks are weak stealth and the fact that the cast is set in a different era, so Harry and Hermione are not companions. Epic also has the base game free and the deluxe edition cheaper there, so platform choice matters.

  • Harry Potter fans wanting an open-world Hogwarts adventure, because the game delivers strong source-material callbacks, varied combat, and an immersive student experience.

  • Players who want a polished PS5 fantasy RPG, because it runs magically on PS5 with far better graphics and load times than Switch.

    Ride_The_Sky

  • Buyers who prefer console play over PC, because the deluxe edition is available on PlayStation and the free Epic version is only the base game.

    Galahad

  • Players who value extra content in a familiar wizarding world, because the deluxe edition adds enough to feel worth the higher price for some.

    Galahad

  • Players who want the cheapest possible version, because the base game is free on Epic and the deluxe edition is available there for less.

    AlcatrazHazevideotradermattmansmittyssen2004

  • Switch players expecting smooth performance, because the game has horrible graphics and very long load times on Switch.

    Ride_The_Sky

  • Players who do not care about Harry Potter lore, because the storytelling links back to the source material are a big part of the appeal.

    blueknigh7

  • Players expecting Harry or Hermione as companions, because the cast is set in a different time and they are not sidekicks.

I don't recall seeing a lower price for the PS5 version. I prefer physical media, but I am in for this price for the deluxe edition. Thanks for posting. Repped.

How much worse is the Switch 2 version? Debating on which system to buy it for. Portability may be nice...

My question is why they did not simply fly the broomsticks to Mordor.

(As mentioned free for PC gamers on Epic.)

Much worse on switch, so much worse, horrible graphics and very long load times. Not sure about switch 2. It's magical on ps5 and even better on ps5 pro.

Or those who dislike playing on PC. Depending on how much one cares for the game, an additional cost could be worth it to some.
Edit: Also this is the Deluxe Edition, the free one at Epic is just the base game (which I think has been slightly cheaper than $12 on Playstation before)
