Incorrect. It has excellent reviews with the biggest flaw being noted as heat issues and battery life, which can be mitigated with a underneath cooling pad and plugging it in while gaming. Other than that, it was noted on most reviews as being the "best bang for your buck" laptop in 2025.

The worse part is acer locked down the cpu. You cannot even undervolt which would have helped. I would never buy this brand ever no matter how cheap. Saving a few 100 dollars and end up with fire hands or thermal shutdowns isnt worth it.
U should have gotten the msi vector 5070ti with amd chip at walmart.com. it has an excellent 1600p screen too. Its loud but i doubt its acer loud. it was 1300 for the longest time.
A much better system.

If ur within return period get rid if it asap!

Unfortunately, it's outside return period and also I am based outside US. I used a parcel forwarding service.

I am looking to change the liquid thermal paste with PTM soon.

Agree, I got a refurb for around this price over the summer and it has been totally fine, and this is after I bumped up the wattage of the GPU. For normal tasks, you don't need a cooling pad either.
