I'm new to photography. Is image stabilization as good as with a 3d gimbal? I'm intending to use it for video taping snow skiing. Without any stabilization, the video is unbearably shaky. I wonder how well it does to video taping skiing?

Stabilization on the Action series is excellent as long as you have enough light. In low light, the digital stabilization results in video jitter.

you ever used thing like warp stabilization when you doing video editing in adobe premier? this is what that can do.

We use it for snorkeling, which our GoPro 7 Black was unusable for.

This stabilization of this camera is awesome. Skip around the above video - and notice the movement of the rear facing camera vs the Action4 I have mounted under the wing. If you look at other flight videos around YouTube, you'll notice they'll usually MUCH shakier.

Your use case is exactly what this camera was made for. I use an action camera similar to this one (buy not as nice) for dirt bike riding. It's on my helmet.
