I'll stay away from Ring products. Without a paid subscription they are just useless. A total electric garbage.
A lot of Ring products work well with Open Source (free) Home Assistant. No subscription. I use the Ring door, window sensors, and fire alarm listeners on Home Assistant and they work great. The subscriptions are a waste of money. With Home Assistant, I get alarm messages sent to my phone. Then I can decide whether to call fire, police, or check it on my own.

I'm confused. My insurance requires a monitoring certificate. if you have a monitoring subscription with ring, you can download it. The savings exceed the subscription cost per year. What am I missing? can I get monitoring for free?
I just got a 2pack for $24 and single $13.50 from amazon a finally delivered late a week ago. $20 is ok if you need another one but not a slick deal when a they were almost half this price.
This is a motion sensor, I get the feeling some of these comments think it's a window/door sensor? Looks like a Z-Wave device that may be supported in Home Assistant (I know the wiindow/door sensor is) with a Z-Wave radio. $20 shipped seems like a decent deal to me, I suppose it's a PIR sensor.
