I've heard these are gimmicky and don't really do much like a mesh type pod?

Can I use this with a google nest mesh router or better to buy extra google nest WiFi points?

Don't set this up with OneMesh. Do a manual setup and only use it for 5GHZ unless you're extending an IoT network too.

Otherwise OneMesh tends to force devices to 2.4GHZ even when the faster network works.

Don't waste your money on these. I suggest investing your cash on a decent tri-band Mesh Router if you need more WIFI coverage at home.

I'm going to use it as a solution to set up a wired printer across the house without running ethernet. Good price!

I've heard the earth is flat? Doesn't make it true. These are highly reviewed. Sounds like you might or might not have heard otherwise. Not exactly helpful.
