Nice! I had a 4tb ordered but that won't be here till after the holidays so why not 14! Way better price per tb. I kept checking their stock the last two weeks so glad it's back at a steep discount. Wonder why this drive in particular is heavily discounted versus the others.

In for 1.

I've been looking to add another 14tb drive to my NAS and I don't think we'll see a better deal than this on an enterprise HDD any time in the near future.

I bought 3x IronWolf Pro 18TB-ST18000NT001 drives last year for my NAS and totally regret it. They are LOUD. Clunk, clunk, clunk 24/7, which I can hear throughout the house with the NAS buried back in a closet. I hear them right now. It's a known issue but I rolled the dice and lost. Highly recommend avoiding these. Regardless, I bought 18TB at $299, $16.67/TB, and these are $16.43/TB, which is an okay deal, but nothing special.

This model of 14TB is Helium filled with noise ratings of 20/26 dB. The price per TB is decent. However, I can't bring myself to pull the trigger between the model not being on Ugreen's compatibility list and being burned hard by Seagate drives in the past.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Strangely enough, I bought two 20 TB Ironwolf Pro drives a while back and they are in a two bay NAS sitting under my living room TV right now and you can't hear them at all. 🤷

isn't that what any smart person would do, with any brand.
