A lot of 5 star reviews that mention how great customer support is ...bc their camera arrived dead/failed quickly/etc. I suspect many are compensated.

the apps seem to have decent reviews on appstore

I had one and this is one of the problems. Another was it staying connected to the wifi. Lastly it was a real mess to keep clean compared to other bird feeders I had. I took it down in about a week. On the plus side I paid quite a bit more for mine, so this is pretty cheap. I never got the subscription they want you to sign up for.
