IIRC, when they did 12 days of giveaways last year, it went up to New Year's Eve. But I might be remembering that incorrectly.

I don't think you need to download the launcher to redeem, you can redeem it online via the browser. But if you want to play it you'll need to eventually install the launcher.

It's an alternative. Need to download the Epic Games Launcher, create an account, and you can redeem the game. Right now the servers are crashing so I'd wait a day.

So it's almost like its own website that you have to buy games from? And you have to launch the game on it at the same way you play on steam?
