IIRC, when they did 12 days of giveaways last year, it went up to New Year's Eve. But I might be remembering that incorrectly.

Edit: They're giving away 17 games this year, through New Year's Day. Here's the schedule (according to GG.deals at least): https://gg.deals/freebie/17-epic-...s-in-2025/

The Dark Arts expansion is only $1.99 as well, great price!

I don't think you need to download the launcher to redeem, you can redeem it online via the browser. But if you want to play it you'll need to eventually install the launcher.

Hogwarts Legacy is a polished, immersive Harry Potter adventure that works well as a casual PC game, with strong castle atmosphere, smooth performance on modest hardware, and even achievements on Epic. The free Epic claim also includes the base game, and the Dark Arts expansion is discounted to $1.99, with a Fortnite Chocolate Frog Back Bling tied to two hours of play. The main drawbacks are its 90 GB install size and a later-game loop that can feel repetitive or vanilla, with some reports of checkout errors while Epic servers were overloaded. A solid way to grab the game if the claim page cooperates.

I'm tired of free Epic game alerts too, but this one's a major title, so that makes it different and worthy of posting IMO.

Free until 12/18.

Why does this not come up on slickdeals search? I'm frustrated because I searched, didn't see it, then posted the deal, which got forwarded to here. But it still doesn't come up on search for me.

When I search for the word Hogwarts it's the 3rd result. I try not to use too many words when searching. I usually go for a word that isn't common yet targets what I'm looking for. Sometimes you also have to tick all forums to find something.

I think the OP (of the above repost) is the last person on the planet to find out about this giveaway.

Search "Hogwarts" - it's like the 4th deal down, with 800+ TU.

That said, SD search is normally pretty bad.
