AirPods Pro 3 stand out for stronger noise cancellation, better battery and charging, a heart rate monitor, improved water resistance, and USB C charging. The newer features also include Live Translation and better mic quality, though translation is available on AirPods Pro 2 as well. The main knocks are comfort and sound, with foam tips feeling less comfortable than Pro 2 and the tuning described as harsh or overly bassy. The Walmart coupon is finicky and often needs a $50 basket or extra items to trigger, so the deal works best when the promo cooperates.
people who can get the coupon to apply by adding extra items (like a small add-on such as a banana) because commenters said the deal/coupon worked once they tried different checkout scenarios or added about $50 of other items.
buyers comparing total cost to Costco when you can get the $189 price because one commenter said it was roughly the same as a Costco purchase at $229 that included AppleCare (~$39).
people who want USB-C charging on their AirPods because a commenter called out that one advantage of Pro 3 is the charger is USB-C.
owners who already have AirPods Pro 2 and want the upgrades because a commenter said Pro 3 has better charging/battery, a heart rate monitor, and improved water-resistance rating compared to Pro 2.
people who only want to buy the AirPods Pro 3 by itself with the promo because commenters said the coupon doesn't work for this deal/item alone and requires adding $50 more (and can be limited to certain pickup/delivery orders).
buyers who are sensitive to sound quality changes because commenters said reviewers didn't like the Pro 3 sound (harsh high frequencies, lack of adjustable EQ, and "fake/bassy" sound) and that they preferred Pro 2.
people who are still on older iOS versions because a commenter warned that some AirPods Pro 3 features may not work on iOS 18.x and advised ensuring iOS 26 for full functionality.
people who need a longer return window than 14 days because one commenter disputed the return policy claim and said it's only a 14-day return policy.
