I am not that tech savvy. I have a Verizon Fios router with a 300mbps subscription. Will this portable router enable me to get faster WiFi than 300mbps if I have a computer with built in WiFi 7 capability?

This probably isn't for your use case. If you're already getting the maximum speed that Verizon is giving you, then your WiFi connection isn't your bottleneck and upgrading your WiFi won't help much.

Wifi7 on your computer allows for really fast internet. Much faster than 300mbps. But youre limited to 300mbps because that's the speed that verizon provides on your plan. Not familiar with Verizon Fios, but see if they offer faster speeds. There's a somewhat promotional war going on right now between internet providers. Comcast/Xfinity offered me 1gig speeds, no data caps for $60/mo for 5 yrs. My computer also has Wifi7 and my modem is new, my router is Wifi7 and my wifi speeds are around 800mbps.

This is finally here! It's nice to see an option from a well established brand.
Watching the reviews so far, the only complaints people have brought up are 1) ASUSWRT's web UI looks dated and 2) Connecting to another Wi-Fi network in WISP mode requires the router to "reboot" to apply the settings which takes a minute or two (and isn't needed with travel routers with the two other popular brands..)
In any case, such a steep discount so soon means either Asus is serious to compete with TP Link, matching their travel router price, and or the BE58 Go isn't selling…
