Do these have the flashlight and/or voice transmitting capabilities? (So you can actually make and receive calls)

They are going for this price basically everywhere. There was a crazy deal in Amazon for the epix 2 and fénix 7 I believe but it only lasted one day

These have the flashlight but do not have the ability to make/receive calls on the watch.

If you'd prefer the black version, scuba.com has it for $450 and you used to be able to take an extra $25 off with code "VIP25". Worked for me mid November, not sure if it's still active.

Vip25 expired but it's still a good price for 51mm black color

I don't believe so, the venu and forerunner 570 and 970 do.

I've got Epic Pro 2 from Amazon and liked them very much. The only thing I'm missing is the ability to answer calls. Not sure if Venu or Forerunner will be good substitutes.

They're very different, one isn't necessarily better than the other. This is more of a sports/fitness watch with some smart watch capabilities and the apple watch is a smart watch with some sports/fitness capabilities. This watch is super durable and battery can last for weeks. The apple watch is less durable and you'll be charging it daily. Only you can decide what you're looking for!

Definitely battery life, where the fenix is much better. And also, they fit different lifestyles on operating systems.

I used to be a smartwatch owner. Change the face, OLED, answer my call, alert on every little notification. Then I switched to Garmin. Much better experience. It's a watch, charge it every 20days or so. Notification if you want it. Track your rides download your routes. Plays music, but I don't. But the kicker is your stats at the end of your activities and trends over time. If you are the fitness/outdoors person. Look no further.
