Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds stand out for strong noise cancellation and immersive sound, with the first gen model still drawing praise for travel and mixed-device use. The app multipoint setup can work well across iPhone, Samsung, Android, and even a company phone, and refurbished units have arrived in like new condition with everything included. Bass runs heavy out of the box and may need EQ adjustment. Connectivity has also been reported as unreliable for some phones, so they fit best when noise cancelling matters more than flawless pairing.
Common Questions (4)
They can work well with both iPhone and Android, and the Bose app supports multipoint so two devices can stay connected at the same time. Some users report connection problems on both platforms, so performance may depend on the phone and firmware state.
The ANC is reported to be very strong, edging out AirPods for noise canceling and sound immersion, and one user found it better than Sony XM5 earbuds. On planes, it can still be less effective than Bose over-ear headphones, but the smaller size makes it easier to travel with.
Yes, the bass is described as very heavy out of the box, and some users lower it by about -8 to -10 in EQ to make the sound more neutral. Without adjustment, the tuning can get muddy for some listeners.
The Woot refurbished units were reported to arrive in as-new condition with everything in the box, and they are described as refurbished by Bose but sold through Woot. That makes them a way to save a few dollars while still getting a complete package.

I really loved them. The sound was excellent and so was the noise cancellation. So I'm in for another pair, don't really care about the color.

If you are using both android, windows computer/laptop and Apple products, then this is a better choice. If you are all in the apple eco system, you should go with the Airpods. IMO. Hope this helps you.
First time using Bose earbuds.....bass is very heavy, and I turn it down to -8, sometimes -10, and then they sound relatively neutral. ANC is better than Sony XM5 earbuds, sound on par with them given my above caveat. I have not tested the APP3.
