Not bad if you have no choice but I'd either bump up to the 9950X3D or down to the 9800X3D.

I'm curious why you'd say that. The 9600X, a six core model, sells very well and comes highly regarded for entry level gaming. Why does no one recommend the 12 core models, neither the 9900X or 9900X3D?
