Great price and just the right size for a can of soup but the reviews complaining of rust spots makes me kinda nervous

Is this well made? The Ikea ones feel so cheap, so wondering if these have a bit more heft.
They seem to be well made and have some heft. They aren't super heavy but better than most.

I have never seen a speck of rust on either pans nor lids.

I will say I hand wash all my pots and pans.

eBay item number:363150139138 Discontinued get them while they last. Using mine for 3 years multiple times a day brewing beveragse and reheating food. Completely agree with the description:
Heirloom quality.
Demeyere KitchenAid Professional edition with double insulated tight sealing stainless steel lid w stay cool handle. An extremely comfortable main handle with excellent control when filled . 2 qt.
Drip-less rim.
No rivets to impair cleaning, sanitary. Highly polished retains its like-new appearance for decades. Impurities are removed from the steel using a Silvinox process. The bottom has an integrated sealed copper core. Ultra fast heating especially on induction. Worth every penny of the $150 w coupon.

A 1.5qt 3 ply pot $25 is not going to be hefty almost regardless of who makes it. There's not a lot of material and thus not a lot of weight. On the other hand I have a 5 ply 2.5qt saucepan that weighs way more and feels way more hefty than my 4qt 3ply saucepan.
Properly made premium quality sauce pans have multi-ply bottoms and heavy gauge single-wall not multi-ply sidewalls.

Try a Demeyer Atlantis and you will understand. In a saucepan heat from the bottom circulates by liquid convection. A multi-ply sidewall in a sauce pan wastes energy while it heats the room and the chef.

Bought a couple of these on a Slickdeal in 2009, still using them today, they're holding up very well, and I expect them to last decades more

I bought this pan last year for the same price. I'm very pleased with it. I use it on an induction cooktop and it performs as good as my other more expensive pans. Always hand washed, no rust. I haven't noticed the handle getting hot like it does on my case iron pan.

At $15 I consider this a great value.

Show me a $25 Demeyere and I'll retract my statement. I clearly said "3 ply pot $25" and you rebutted with a $250+ SEVEN PLY pot.

The steel used in Asian pots and even All-Clad is nowhere near the quality of Belgian Demeyere. I'm not interested in saving a few dollars at the cost of having lead nickel and chromium bio-accumulate as they leech in to my food. These alternative cookwares do not function the same. Instead of heating canned soup I steam veggies in their own juice with no water and enjoy healthy home made soup and broth without chemical additives.

With the rising cost of food is it slick to pay $15 vs $150 when the vastly superior pot will do all of that for decades while also being a pleasure to handle and to use every day?

The page says Made in USA. Pulled the trigger.
EDIT: I picked up the saucepan at Kohls. The packaging says Made in China. Amazon is lying.

Everything above is a misquote. Demeyere Atlantis saucepan and the KitchenAid Professional version are not "seven ply" sidewalls. The sidewalls are heavy gauge single ply.

$150 not $250. That's two bags of groceries.

I understand that you plan to move next year and will have to throw all of your pots in the trash so you won't be getting 30 years of use out of the Demeyere or enjoying the the energy and food saving or the superior results.

For everyone else, a risk-free way to experience this design advantage is to buy from W-S or a similar retailer which offers free returns. Test, return and re-purchase at the deal price.

People will decide the value proposition for their own use case but they can't do that with the seeing is believing thing.

Thank you, I was wondering if the handles get hot which is important for me!
No chef will recommend glass lids. The ones with cast aluminum handles are the worst. Look for glass lid with phenolic handle and a vent which condenses. Since cool handles are important to you consider trying Demeyere which you can return. The version which I linked to in this thread has a double-insulated stainless lid which functions even better than the regular Atlantis lid. I've avoided a thousand burns with mine so far.

That 2 qt saucepan is ten times the price but so are two bags of groceries which only last one week. Your great grand kids will be using your Demeyere.

Looks like there's a 40% coupon at Kohl's now. Just got it for $11
