These are horrible if you're into coffee brewing. Mine lasted almost a year to the date. Just spend $20-30 more and get a better grinder if you take your coffee seriously.

I believe SD is using bots. Asking suggestion is a common thing recently on SD when someone doesn't recommend the product. Useful but feels like it's the on every post now.

"12 cup capacity"

First off no one needs to grind 12 cups of coffee beans at home. Second that thing couldn't hold 12 cups. I believe what they mean is that it can hold enough coffee to make 12 cups which is a retarded way to word it.

I have been using one of these for several years for spices like coriander, cinnamon, and clove, and sometimes for nuts like cashews and peanuts. Never tried it with coffee beans, I specifically bought it to help Indian cuisine cooking out. also I hate that this says 12 cup capacity- the thing can hold like half a cup to a cup of spices- they mean the ground up coffee would make 12 cups of coffee

Agree. This has been the deceptive advertising everywhere these days. Even the rice cooker will say 10 cups when. They mean it will hold 10 cups cooked rice IF it was filled to the brim. Double whammy because they can atmost cook just 3cups of rice.

I bought a cheaper one like this, not this brand but the same original price and it's been working great for a couple years now!

I bought this exact grinder second hand on fb marketplace for $8 about 5 years ago. I can't imagine spending $50-100 on something else that I would imagine has a negligible impact on my cup of coffee. Just get one, it makes the morning ritual much more enjoyable imho; plus the smell of fresh ground is just another lovely side effect

This grinder is ok for spices but for coffee, heck no. You won't get a consistent or a specific course that you want, depending on what type of coffee brewing that you're looking for.

Just get some good burr grinder for consistent ground coffee with multiple settings specially espresso. Lot of brands and prices.

You don't want to use one you've been using for spices to grind coffee. You're going to get "flavor bleed" no matter what you do to clean it. So unless you want your coffee tasting like tumeric, you're going to need 2.
