In order to sync this with your TV, you need a Hue Sync box. There is an exception for certain TV brands that also now have an app for the tv to do it (results are so-so). If you want to use with a PC, there's a free app that you can use to sync it with tv. Govee has a camera it uses to sync the lights with a tv (instead of an expensive box you plug your devices into).

My entire house is Philips hue stuff. It's rad. I have these hooked up to my tv entertainment area on the hue app.

You either need a newer lg or Samsung tv with the hue app available on them, or else you'd need the Philips hdmi 4k or 8k hue sync box.

There will be nay-sayers about hue and "there's cheaper options". Most of the cheaper options have an ugly and intrusive camera you have to mount over your tv.

The other option is fancyleds.com

But if you're doing a hue setup or already have one, this is cheap.

I have the Samsung TV app and it's been fantastic. The kids love movie nights and I even replaced the down lights with hue lights so it's much more immersive
