Community Reviews

The 13.6 inch MacBook Air with M4, 16GB RAM, and 256GB storage stands out as a strong portable Mac option, especially for everyday use and light productivity. The $749 price is often framed as matching Best Buy, with the Amazon credit adding extra value when it appears, and some accounts also unlock cash back or business pricing. The main caveats are the credit can be hard to find, may vary by color or account type, and 256GB fills up quickly. Battery life and the 16GB memory ceiling are the other practical limits, making it a compact but not especially roomy setup.

Do you have to click on something that says $25 cashback after 30 days? I do not see that verbiage anywhere on the page.

Edit: Just noticed that its only for the SkyBlue and Starlight models. Not for the silver & Black

repost. Yes with Ram/SSD pricing, progbably as good as it gets. I've got an m1 and even browsing with horrible websites (and firefox is a memory hog) I fill the 8gb ram. I want 16gb, but think i will hold out.
hold out for... what exactly? the M1 > M2 > M3 processors were incrimenal boosts in speed, 10-15% eash jump. But the M4 jumped the numbers by FIFTY percent. Its a huge upgrade to the processor. M5 is another incremental boost. We arleady see that in the M4 MBP vs M5 MBP tests. The discount is also on the models with more ram and SSD if you need it and can spend more...

If you don't mind, what is the link of the monitor you bought? That's a good idea, to use the 13.6" laptop keyboard with a bigger monitor.
any monitor is fine these days. plenty on the SD home page. just make sure you are getting the resolution you want. If you have the $$, the Dell 2725QS for @250 is pretty good, and has the advantage of a small USBC hub and can charge a laptop while its plugged into it + extra ports for external drives, etc = one cable connection.

I recently bought one. Had been using Windows for Ages and find it so difficult to use Apple. Will be returning soon.

I recently got the 2725QS. It's ridiculously clear and has some features usually only more expensive monitors have (like 120 Hz and height adjustment). As long as you're not a serious gamer, it's a great value.

In case anyone tries searching for 2725QS and doesn't find it, that's actually the HDMI model. The USB-C model is the 2725QC.

It used to $519! Why have to pay more?
I used to be able to get a decent sized amount of hot chips wrapped in butcher paper for 60c. Now a large fries from Five Guys is eight bucks for about half the amount. Why me pay more?

I have MacBook Pro M1 16GB RAM. Sometimes it's not enough for me. Any recommendations to buy Air with 24/32 or keep saving for Pro?
Why is it not enough? CPU, ram? M1 should be enough

Reviews are pretty damn great. Never owned a Mac or any kind. Wife used to exclusively use MacBooks, then her new corporate job gave her a windows based laptop. Taking the dive and getting this for her Christmas present (personal laptop). Thanks, and repped.

I bought this exact laptop like a month ago, this is my first MacBook. The build is great, has everything that I wanted. The only downside is the battery. Apple says something like 18 hours, in reality I get like 4 hours doing basic browsing with the Safari browser. I had VS Code running and Vivaldi browser running, and then I only got like 2 hours. Other than that, solid build.

Im not seeing any reference to credit in cart. Is deal over or targeted?
Try changing the color of the laptop. Midnight didn't offer the $25 credit, but silver and blue did

That's definitely not normal. Sounds like you got a bad battery and need to return.

I agree with the other commenter. That's not normal, unless you have something really stressing the CPU in that basic browsing. Talk with Apple and have them check it out. My wife's M4 MacBook Air easily lasts close to 18 hours on the battery with basic browsing, Word, Excel, etc. all being used.

The scam era of integrated RAM. Is 8GB really worth $200?
