If you can buy 12 knives, a block, and scissors for $18, you're wasting your money. You'd be better off buying a single decent chefs knife for $18.

I did use many of these knife sets. And my thoughts are "amazon basic" would be the lower limit. Any sets cheaper than that is not handy. But theses cheap sets does the job, if you just need something sharpe for cheap, not cutting lots of food

No. Knife sets are a waste of money.

You really only need a couple knives. The shears and steel are worthless.

Get a chef's knife, a utility knife, and a paring knife, a ceramic rod, and a magnetic bar mount/dry rack and be done.​

What are you talking about this is German forged steel at the Pro level with all that included it's the most top tier brand at the cheapest price for the block and everything. Who cares about the sheers they are just included.
For just two knives alone it's $160+ from this set on Amazon
