The 5070 will struggle in many games at 1440p due to only having 8GB VRAM. Can find some refurbished rtx 5070 Ti gaming laptops with 2 year warranty.

What games would you see this struggle with. I had the pro model of this laptop (Intel Ultra 9 processor) with the 5070 and 32gb ram and it ran Doom Dark Ages fine at 1440p high settings consistent 60 fps, and that's known to be a demanding game.

I dont think Doom Dark Ages is a demanding game. I am playing with it on my 3060Ti with a 12gen i5 Intel on a 2K monitor now and it was buttery smooth at over 120fps.
