The Oral-B iO Series 4 and 5 are premium electric toothbrushes with strong cleaning features, but the deal math and ownership costs matter. The brush can remember the last used mode or speed, and the Series 5 has been picked up for around $30 in a good promo. The main drawbacks are the higher cost of iO replacement heads, the awkward multi press startup for higher speeds, and a charger that can be too tall for some medicine cabinets. Walgreens Cash totals also appear inconsistent, with checkout results ranging from $25 to $40.
The deal can come out to about $65 after tax when Walgreens Cash is applied.
Holding the power button for three seconds reportedly saves the selected speed for future starts.
Series 3, 4, and 5 models reportedly start in the last-used mode or speed.
The toothbrush can fail to stop at the two-minute mark during brushing.
The Series 4/5 setup can require three button presses to reach the highest speed.
The iO brush heads can cost about three times more than standard Oral-B heads.
Holding the power button for three seconds can shut the toothbrush down instead of saving speed.

For one, if you want to brush at the highest speed, you have to press the button 3 times.
Secondly, the heads are much more expensive.
Third, it is just a little bit taller than the previous version (by a mm or two), and this one won't fit in my medicine cabinet when it's on the charger.

Edit: Just tried it. Holding it for 3 seconds shuts it down! :-(
