The Pro 2 stands out as a very comfortable, versatile controller with Hall effect sticks, broad compatibility, and a layout that feels like a blend of classic Nintendo and PlayStation pads. The d pad gets strong praise, the motion sensor is described as accurate, and the plastic does not feel cheap. It also supports a battery pack or AA batteries, which is increasingly uncommon. The main drawbacks are the START button sitting close to ABXY for some hands, no back buttons, a sealed battery, and Switch 2 support needing a firmware update without wake from sleep. A solid pick if you want that familiar Pro style.
The controller offers Hall Effect sticks and reportedly supports both battery pack and AA battery options.
The Pro 2 can require a firmware update for Switch 2 compatibility, but it reportedly works flawlessly after updating.
The controller can be extremely comfortable and can feel like a blend of classic controller styles.
The controller can work across multiple devices and reportedly pairs successfully in a Tesla Model Y.
The Pro 2 cannot wake Switch 2 from sleep, even after syncing with the latest firmware.
The coupon discount can vary, with some shoppers reporting only a $4 reduction instead of the expected $10 off.
The joysticks can feel stiff and may develop false readings after months of use.
The START button placement can be too close to ABXY buttons, which can cause accidental presses during games like Smash Bros.

And would you say this is better than the 2C?

I don't remember what mode I used, but it works well in my Model Y.
Regarding the Pro 2 vs 2C, I have both and the 2C joysticks are giving me false readings after about 6 months of use. Also, the joysticks would sometimes pop out during intense gameplay (super smash). I would not buy the 2C again.

I don't necessarily respect the other person's opinion, I get the impression they're a button masher 😁. Practice thumb control lady's and gents!
That said, gotta use common sense, if you've used controllers over the years you're likely going to have a preference leaning toward one of the major brand styles and even year of style for said brand. This one is a meld of two classics as I mentioned. It's d-pad IMHO is up there second only to hori fight pad.
