How would a newspaper grab litter, though?

Is it easy to vacuum or does it cling? This is because I use regular carpet/mat and my vacuum is right there so once every 2-3 days j just vacuum it for few seconds, works well. I'm worried this might trap too much dirt, or even occasional poop, that sometimes my cat might have dragged jumping out of litter box before he darts to other end of the house in light speed like poop is going to chase after him.

Have had one of the XL ones since 2022. Works really well but not the easiest to clean. Just have a vacuum with powerful suction. I suppose one could take outside and dump out the litter bits that collect but who has time for that?
Would get another XL if it was on sale too.

These definitely get litter build up and need quite a good whacking or vacuuming. I generally consider all these plasticky mats something to be phased out every few years though; someone inevitability has an accident, smells build up, or whatever happens… so with that in mind I'd buy it again.

Having said that, this price can be had pretty easily, not particularly slick.

I got these before and ended up tossing them after a while. Maybe it was just my cats. But yes, they do cause the litter to stick. And that wouldn't be bad. Except that if you have a lot of cats, it takes just one cat to pee on the mat and now all that trapped litter is gross and hard to remove.

Apparently these cling to some floors, get pieces of it stuck to the floor and so on. Check out some of the reviews and pictures. I'm going to pass on this.

I had this style many years ago and got rid of them. It worked, but maintenance over time sucked. Litter will get stuck in the mesh and require a lot of beating and flexing to get it out of the nooks & crannies. And as someone else mentioned, if it gets wet from pee/barf then the litter is never coming out.

I wound up trying https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L87FQ1C and was quite happy with it and have used them for several years now. If it gets wet and causes litter to stick then it can simply be taken outside and hosed down, something that failed miserably with the textured mat. I periodically run the vacuum over the top with the smooth floor tool (no brushes like the carpet tool) and it easily sucks up all of the loose litter. Unfortunately, it looks like this particular product or manufacturer may no longer exist.
