To prevent auto connect, turn it off by pressing the power button for 3 secs until the unit flashes red. To reconnect, just turn it on by pressing the power button again.

I wish that wasn't the case. I work remotely and if my wife starts the car while I am on the phone, it transfers to the car's Bluetooth adapter and I have to quickly switch it back. I was there were priority settings on phones, lol.

I was thinking the same thing but it's Bluetooth 5.1. Yes, 2.0 stereo audio.

That's the way Bluetooth is designed. It's that way with any device. This isn't an issue. This is a feature. Turn your Bluetooth off when you're not using it.

I don't know if these cheapies have improved in recent years. The noise between songs used to drive me nuts when you have the volume up. I paid up for the older Logitech branded unit and it has been flawless for my needs, regardless of which revision of the Bluetooth standard it runs. Sounds quality is phenomenal for what it is, even thru a higher end sound system.

Alliexpress is way cheaper and no need for membership. Plus $2 off coupon. I paid 17.19 with tax. I seemed to notice price fluctuations on that site, especially if you use sponsored links so you may be better off just searching for it on your own.
