I saw this TCL QM8K in person at bestbuy a few days ago and was very impressed. It could be mistakened for an OLED. Have my eyes on a 85" QM8K..waiting for the right price..
This is an absolutely fantastic television. I got an open box excellent 75" from BB for a little less than this a few weeks ago and I have been loving it. After having burn in issues with 2 high end LG OLED's I needed something where I wouldn't have to worry about that, and so far this panel is delivering in a big way.

The B2 LG 65" OLED at BB
is $100 less. Is this QM8K better than the OLED? We have a dark room. Thanks
Picked up this TV for my father and it's the standard Google TV interface. Which is to say it throws a lot of info/ads in your face and the UI is kind of scattered.
You can always switch it to app only mode or use an alternative launcher like Projectivy. Though the stock launcher will still pop up after TV OS updates or if there is a power failure if you go the alt launcher route.

Mind to share what price that was for the 75?
Do we think this 65 or 75 will go down more in upcoming weeks ?

I almost pulled the trigger, but some of the horror stories on warranty support are turning me off. I am tempted to hold off for now, but this looks like a decent deal (especially if it stacks with some other discounts).

I paid 993.99 before tax for it, but it was a bit of a fluke. The price I paid was originally higher, but when I brought it home, I found that the stand was damaged. Wasn't really a big deal to me, as I was planning to mount it anyway, but BB open box excellent should technically mean all components are in like new condition. I went back to the store and was very lucky to speak to a nice manager who allowed me to do a return without having to bring the TV back, and then she instructed geek squad to re-evaluate the TV down to the lowest possible price for open box fair, and re-sell it to me at that price.

-Amazon provides instant $250 gift card when applying for their credit card.
-Amazon Visa also offers 5% cash back
I also purchased a "used" version thats from amazon that had shipping box problems but everything is fine and included. That saved $80.
