If one only needs one impact socket for tires, would there be any benefit of paying a little more and jumping on this deal? Seems like some quality impact sockets. I see the thread mentions the lack of 24mm. Is 24mm heavily used size and if so, why would BOEN exclude such size from this kit?

Do you mean for the wheels? If so, it depends for the rims type, some of them required a thin wall and deep socket. If your rims are open plugs then this set will work.
