Navigation is great. It maps your house and lets you specify which rooms to clean. It does a great job, but it takes a while. Just doing my master bedroom (about 25'x20') takes almost an hour on rapid mode and uses more than half the battery. If it runs out of power it will recharge at the base station then resume cleaning.
The Max models are just the vacuum (no self-emptying base station, just a charger). The Max Plus models include the self-emptying base station. The RV20 units have the LIDAR sensor in the front of the unit. The RV30 units have a LIDAR turret on top of the unit. PC Mag voted the RV30 Max Plus their Editor's Choice budget-friendly robot vacuum last December.

For those who are concerned about the Chinese possibly using this to spy on you, I wouldn't worry.
Tp-link as a company split into a Chinese and non-chinese company in 2024 due in part to criticism like this.
Their products for the US market are now produced in Vietnam, Taiwan, etc. to prevent any association with China and their headquarters is now in California.
The current push to ban them from selling products in the US is in my opinion, ridiculous.
If they operated in China as a state owned business then yes I'd be worried, but that's simply not the case.
I will say I would hold off in investing in these for now in the event they are banned as it could result in the tapo service being discontinued here which would unfortunately make most tapo camera's useless.
