Garbage router from garbage company. Bug/hardware failure that kills Ethernet ports on this router unaddressed by TP-Link for over two years.

Just be aware that you are not in control of your own network without logging into your tp-link account (on your phone no less). Bought a 3 pack of x60s about a year ago and hated it from the start. Only kept it because it was used /open box and I waited too long to actually put this crap in service. Using it now for only my iot (untrusted devices). My lan is physically isolated from this mess. Something is seriously wrong with a mesh system that REQUIRES a login to whatever their home base is. Buyer beware.

What do you recommend for a mesh (or mesh capable) system? My pair of Asus AC68R is getting unstable

Hey, this happened to mine too! I just swapped to using one of the other ports after a long while of confused investigation. Figured it was just a happenstance hardware failure. I guess it's more widespread.

I use TP-Link mesh systems in 5 homes. All have been rock solid. Always had no issues getting firmware updates and good support.
