This open-box OmniBook X Flip stands out as a strong value for its Ryzen AI 7 350, 24GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, and 14 inch touch display. The 400 nit screen and solid build quality get positive callouts, and the price drop into the mid 300s makes the configuration feel unusually cheap. The keyboard draws the main criticism, with some calling it mediocre or crappy, though others find it comfortable for everyday typing. Open-box condition is the other risk, since packaging and screen damage can vary, making it a good fit if the specs matter more than perfect condition.
The 24GB RAM configuration makes the $339.99 open-box price feel especially strong for this laptop class.
The display brightness is listed as 400 nits on the specifications page.
Using an external Logitech full-size keyboard can make the keyboard limitation less important for work.
An open-box unit reportedly arrived in excellent working condition and performed fine for limited, everyday use.
The keyboard quality is flagged as "crappy," which can be a deal-breaker for some buyers.
Some open-box shipments have arrived with bright screen spots after packaging that left the laptop loose in a smooshed box.
Open-box exchanges can be difficult because Best Buy may require the same model in open-box condition to keep the original price.
The refresh rate options are limited to 40Hz and 60Hz, which can make the laptop an easy pass for certain users.

Hell of a deal for 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD, above average 400-nits 1200p screen and a nice upper-midrange AI 7 350.
No Lunar Lake SOC has more than 32GB RAM.
Ultra 5 226V - 16GB
Ultra 5 228V - 32GB
Ultra 7 256v - 16GB
Ultra 7 258v - 32GB
The only Ultra 9, the 288V, always has 32GB RAM.

These open-box deals at Best Buy are how I almost always buy laptops or similar products. They're nearly always in excellent condition, even if labelled good or fair. They are of course YMMV, but it's really a snooze and loose situation for anyone who refuses to use deal alerts.
Edit: My wife loved this laptop for Christmas. I'm impressed by the build quality compared to the laptop it replaced, and 2018-era HP Envy. I don't get the hate for the keyboard, but I've also used lots of these chiclet keyboards over the past decade.

I'd return it to BestBuy and ask for an exchange. I had a prominent dead pixel on one of my shipped Open Box Excellent purchases some years back, and a store manager at my local BB accepted a direct replacement to a new unit. That's very YMMV, of course.
