IMO the Stanley Fatmax is the way to go for serious work but I have this as well and it's probably fine for most people's uses or to just have around. Good deal at $10 each.

I got these last deal and love them. I mean, they're tape measurers but there's a lot of little things like. It's compact, the tip is magnetic, tape is very strong so you can outstretch it very far before it bends, there's print on the back side for vertical measurements, and the body length is a nice 3.5" for easy math (mind you my larger milwaukee tape is 3.75 but I've seen some odd body measurements over the years).

Fat max is 2 for $25. So probably worth the extra $2.50 per tape to go with the fat max.

My preference is the DEWALT 25 ft. Magnetic Tape Measure (2-Pack) that has the magnetic hook and double sided printing. Currently $19.88 - 10% if you're a Mil/Vet.
