Milwaukee's 25 foot compact magnetic tape measure 2 pack stands out for its compact body, magnetic tip, double sided printing, and strong tape that stays rigid farther out than expected. The wire clip is easy to pocket, and the back side markings help with vertical measurements. The deal can drop lower with Buy More Save More or by mixing and matching, and the current price is still in stock. The main knocks are a strong smell on arrival and that some prefer Stanley FatMax or DeWalt for heavier duty use. A solid fit for typical home projects and handy everyday measuring.
The compact Milwaukee tape measure uses a magnetic tip that can help with metal layout tasks.
The tape resists bending when extended far, which supports longer unsupported measuring.
The back-side vertical measurement markings and compact body length make quick math easier during layout work.
The tape includes double-sided printing and an open access area that makes it easier to hold tape length without locking.
The wire clip is reported to be durable, snag-resistant, and easy to clip in and out of a pocket.
The magnetic tip and double-sided printing features may cost extra versus FatMax bundles that lack those specific features.
The magnetic tip may be unnecessary for many typical homeowner projects compared with more common non-magnetic tape measures.
The deal can be undermined by checkout friction, since discount pricing may require returning extras to keep the lower price on one pair.
The tapes can arrive with a strong bad smell, which may come from lubricant or the casing.

Highlights for me:
1) Magnetic tip. Never saw a use before but was working on a utility trailer (metal) and the magnetic tip came in handy.
2) The wire clip. They look cheap but I've come to prefer them - both this tape and my Milwaukee utility knife use them. They don't seem to snag, are durable, and are easy to clip in/on a pocket.

Currently there are "2 fer" deals for several 25' tape measures at HD: Stanley FatMax (2 for $24.88), DeWalt (2 for $19.88), and Milwaulkee (2 for $19.97). All three have strong tapes that can extend unsupported up to 12' or longer. The Stanley is the same basic measuring tape that I'd previously had for several years. It's solidly built with a 1-1/8" wide tape that's only printed on the top side. In contrast, the DeWalt and Milwaulkee tapes are 1" wide, have open access under the body that makes it easy to temporarily hold the tape length without having to lock it down with the front lever and they also have a magnetic tip. The DeWalt's magnetic tip is removeable which in my world means it would disappear sooner or later. Additionally both the DeWalt and Milwaulkee tapes are printed on both sides which could come in handy in some situations.
Bottom line: I opted for the Milwaulkee deal.
