I bought one in 2020 or 2021. It worked great until recently. The front dial broke and stopped functioning properly. I bought one to replace it and it had the exact problem out of the box. I returned it and got a replacement. Same issue. Got another replacement and this also had the same issue. All three had the front dial broken out of the box.

that's such an uncanny string of identical disasters that it beggars belief!

FWIW, this grinder is currently the same price on Breville's site.

I like Breville products, but I'm gonna stay away from this grinder, at this point. At least it gives me an excuse to buy something a bit more espresso centric.

Not saying their products are the same, but breville owns baratza. I wasn't impressed with this grinder or the encore or even the Sette for espresso. I gave up on both brands cheaper offerings and purchased a good hand grinder.
