Community Reviews
The Xbox Wireless Controller is a straightforward pick for anyone wanting a standard Xbox pad at a sharp sale price, with white and black versions at $38 and other colors still showing around $42. Lenovo Rewards can cut the out of pocket cost a lot, with some orders dropping into the low 30s or even much lower after points and promo credits. The controller is also described as having built in protection against stick drift, though that claim is disputed and the warranty is only one year. Lenovo ordering itself has been hit by cancellations and payment authorization problems, so the deal is strongest if checkout goes smoothly.
Lenovo Rewards can reduce the out-of-pocket cost by adding reward money on top of the sale price.
The controller listing includes a ghost drift feature that may help address stick-drift concerns.
Lenovo order replacements can re-apply rewards, which can preserve most of the effective discount.
Warranty coverage may support stick-drift replacements if drift issues appear after purchase.
Lenovo.com orders can be canceled by the system, which can disrupt checkout and require re-ordering.
Lenovo Rewards eligibility can fail if connected platforms like Twitch or Steam are not verified, and verification may take hours.
Payment authorization problems can prevent Lenovo.com orders from completing even when using a major VISA card.
Stick drift is widely discussed as a common issue for Xbox controllers, which can conflict with claims that drift is rare.

That was a dumb process to try to get points. I updated my profile, but apparently if you don't have other all the other platforms (twitch, steam, etc) then it won't count your profile as updated to get points. Either that or it takes hours to try to verify - but as soon as I found some info to put in it finally said it was complete. Now the controller is sold out on Lenovo. Did I need a controller? Not necessarily - but a spare to attach only to my phone/laptop would have been nice, for $30 or less

That is said I wonder if this sale has anything to do with the rumor that Microsoft is gradually moving away from console hardware business. It's ironic that they first raised the price significantly and then discounted to make it almost the same price as sale prices before the price increase.
