I was at this concert at the Meadowlands in NJ in 1989 with 6 of my friends. There was like 60,000 people there. We drove there in a jeep Sahara with no top one of my friends "took" from his fathers new car dealership and camped out in the parking lot all night the day before and I got violently ill from drinking beer and eating bbq hotdogs that were soaked in unburned off charcoal lighter fluid. I bought a large Disintegration tour t-shirt for $20 that was like 6 sizes oversized (like a dress that came down to your knees). I don't remember any of the concert except for the Plainsong intro lol.

I'll agree with you. Things changed in the business after 1989.

Had a similar oversized t-shirt, except it was from seeing Duran Duran in '87. People thought I was slightly nuts for wearing it.

Incredible album. There is a recent YouTube of of their recent live shows that blew me away. The emotion he exudes just adds even more heartbreak to the songs.

I second all those recommending this record. I bought this pressing at a similar price from Walmart earlier this year, and I think it was a great value. It isn't the clearest vinyl in my collection, but it's the best I've heard this record sound, and the presentation is great for this price point.

I saw them on this 1989 tour at the Capital Centre in the DC suburbs. Got the giant shirt. Wore that same shirt to their concert at Merriweather in 2023 Smilie
