Google Fi is offering the Pixel Watch 3 LTE as an effectively free smartwatch deal, with the watch sharing your existing Fi number and LTE service included. The strongest appeal is the pricing structure, since the $250 discount and $150 in monthly credits can leave only tax and shipping due upfront. The main catch is the fine print, which requires staying active on Fi for 120 days and keeping the line for the 24 month credit period or paying back the remaining balance. The promo appears to be 45 mm only, with stock and checkout availability changing quickly.

  • Checkout and promotion eligibility can fail due to stock, warehouse, or model-selection issues, potentially leading to full-price purchases.

  • Pausing or canceling Google Fi within 120 days can invalidate the $250 discount and charge it back to Google Pay.

  • Leaving Fi early under the monthly-credit structure can forfeit remaining monthly credits and require paying the remaining balance.

  • The $250 instant rebate may not appear during checkout depending on eligibility timing or existing promos.

Wow, ridiculous bait and switch.

When it showed the promotion it was out of stock, then reloaded and it showed in stock but wouldn't let me complete the purchase with the promotion. Tried it a few times - lather, rinse, repeat.

I called customer service and was told that it was sold out, but when I pressed because it DID show in stock I was told it's a question of which warehouse it comes from. The same product might be full price if it comes from one warehouse or eligible for the deal if it's coming from another warehouse.

I don't care which warehouse it comes from. That's a logistical problem on their end and it amounts to a bait and switch. Glad I was careful and didn't complete the purchase.

They refused to honor the deal, even when I asked if they would honor it on the 41mm. I even had screenshots and they didn't care.

It's probably reportable as bait and switch.

I was told a bunch of other excuses too. I hate that kind of incompetent or disingenuous customer service so much.

You don't think Google shares your info with T-Mo? They have to know who the customer using the account is.
I know that T-Mobile doesn't have my PII because my contract is with Fi and that's who runs the credit check. I've been with Fi going back to when it was a beta service. Not a single one of the T-Mobile data breaches impacted me. Fi is a MVNO service.

I'm confused. This has to have it's own data plan on top of your google fi plan for the deal, right?
My Google Fi plan includes free data for a Pixel watch.
