This is a lower end, cost reduced version of the Gen 1. The Gen 1 was $200 new on Amazon a bit ago.

Can you explain a little more? The gen 2 has double the suction power and extendable mop arms. This is not the same vacuum at all, so wondering how this is considered "lower end"

Like you mentioned, the Gen 2 is more powerful and has many improved features. The one thing that was removed in Gen 2 was the front facing camera, which means that the AI detection of objects may be less accurate. On the plus side, there's no camera to be remotely hacked so you don't have to worry about someone peeping on your house.
