not to be the "Hold the line" guy, but at these prices I would wait until another not-so-rare $450 NEW WITH WARRANTY comes across again: https://slickdeals.net/f/18414235-512gb-asus-rog-ally-rc71l-7-ryzen-z1-extreme-handheld-gaming-console-449-free-shipping

That being said, really great console, performance kicks butt, stay near an outlet or replace the battery pack with a bigger one, and windows on a console is still fairly wonky, and the "magical windows experience from the new ROG Ally Xbox fixing everything" did not take place.

That's a different one, the one you linked is z1e and this is z2. Z1e is a higher performing apu and the z2 is a new chip of the one in the steam deck

Which would make this deal even worse. Z2 Go is what should be next Gen since it is in between Steam Deck OLED and ROG Ally Z1E in terms of performance. Would have been a good sale with the PayPal deal just for the brand name, now not so much...

I bought one excellent and it didn't come with the game pass or the little cardboard stand. Was in pristine condition and came with the charger. Very happy with it.

Yet with SteamOS the Z2Go outperforms it. Potayto potahto as its only on the Legion Go S which comes with either Windows or SteamOS and you can install either onto the SD Oled.

Did you try to load up the xbox gamepass app and login. I think thats how you get your 3 months of game pass.

On my new laptop, I went into the microsoft store, clicked on library at the bottom left, then the tab that says "included with device" and there was a free month of game pass. Probably the same with these, if it's included

I think it's important to consider that even though this is basically a steam deck processor in a new body, now that the LCD steam deck is gone this is a great way to get a PC handheld for less than the $549 for a new OLED deck. You can put steam os on it through bazzite if you want to get the full experience.
