But wouldn't that be a problem in the future? You know, RAM and or NVME for example AI requiring high system storage and 32GB+ of RAM which modules are already becoming cost prohibitive?

Additionally, for the first time in my life after hating the idea of building PC, it growing in me. I am open and eager to do it...but I guess I am in a bad time period? So far I have bought me 2 x 8GB DDR4 3200 MT/S Crucial sodimm and 1 x 2TB of NVME SSD PCie 2280 Samsung pro 980 with heat sink.

Thoughts?

There a long list to build. I just don't know if it cost effective compared to DDR5. I can still exchange the ram module for DDR5 anyways. Guess never mind. Thanks for answering

You mentioned sodimm as your RAM. Those designs are usually reserved for laptops or mini pcs.

I guess you haven't been paying attention to all the memory companies ditching the consumer market and going all in on Ai, now memory prices have increased 200-300%. Eek. Get a system now before it's too late

Those are a nightmare and a hack! Just get a sodimm based motherboard for desktop if you need to. But ideally sodimm should die
