Cherry and Mesquite is the same price too. Cheaper than the $4.99 Home Depot sale price they had a few times this year. If I wasnt still stocked from them I would be ordering some. I love making the neighborhood smell like BBQ in the middle of winter.

Hickory, Apple, Cherry, Mesquite, and Pecan were all similar in price. I bought two of each. Most had a $4 digital credit for no-rush, and some had an $0.80 coupon so $8.60 for 2. Walmart wanted over $10 for each of these for 1 and only shipped.
I soak them until wet. Put them in a bag and put them in the freezer. When ready to grill I take out enough for the cook, put them in a foil pouch with some holes poked in it, and put them on the coals. That way they smoke well without burning or needing chunks.
