The bit holder in the screw driver is meant to be used as a nut driver, Like you can take out a bit and use it on a 5/16" nut, so there are varying sizes. So, no you wont be able to use it regular bits in all of the slots.

Its an inconvenience if you dont understand why it is that way.

These are "trade level" tools. Klein is far from TrAsH GaRbAgE JuNk. Also lifetime warranty.
And yes, the 1/4" side can take most standard bits...even if that has zero to do with quality.

RJSmith, I've had an identical set for 20 years and have never once tried using other bits in it. That's what other tools are for. This is a very convenient all in one hex and driver combo set for smaller tool boxes, glove box, junk drawer, etc.

If you are looking for a quality hex bit driver that you need to use other bits with, I would recommend this one on Amazon-

Lowest price for this 3-piece set on Amazon was $24.34 back in June, per CCC. I have the 4-in-1 electronics screwdriver (32581) and the rotating cap helps to speed things up. Limited quantities available for pickup or delivery. Good find Op. Thank you

The only thing that annoys me about my Kleins is that the bits aren't set up so the big Philips is on the same bit as the big flat as it is on every other one of my swappable screwdrivers.
Otherwise they are nice and the nut sizes come in handy.

I agree. I have the full size multidriver and it takes me a minute to go from the #1 phillips to the #2 because it is on a separate bit. Minor gripe though, for a multibit driver it is a great tool and a steal with the stubby for this price.

30+ years in HVAC service trade. Klein hand tools are some of the best. All you jokers complaining about having to flip bits around and that they're not set up for universal bits clearly dont work with hand tools for a living. Although I own all 3 of these I still jumped in for 2 sets. I own Klein tools that have lasted me 20+ years.
