I don't know about this version, but I've been using the same type of cup for martinis for 20 years. I love my contigol products. I carry a 24 oz water bottle wherever I go. But still, I try to limit my martinis too 16 oz, because if I put on those in a 24 it's an expensive night!

I like them also but the new lid design is 2 steps backward from the original. Uncomfortable to drink from vs original and the lid always gets locked when i twist it on. They placed a slide switch on the side (see red switch in photo) instead of the original rocker switch.

I've found the new lid easier to clean and prefer the new slide switch to the rocker. Guess it's all a matter of preference.

There's still a lot of the old style out there, though. You may want to stock up before they are completely discontinued.

Earlier contigo used to mention number of hours drink would remain hot or cold, helping make a decision. Now, it is vague language like "holds temperature" on packing. Returning mine purchased at same price from Target.

The new lid internals are immensely easier to clean, but the lip/drinking spout is a significant downgrade. I wish they'd kept the earlier external design with the new internals.
