This Mac mini M4 deal stands out as a strong value for a compact macOS desktop, especially for everyday work, media, coding, and light creative use. The 16GB of memory and 256GB SSD are enough for many setups, and external Thunderbolt storage or an SSD upgrade can stretch it further. It also pairs well with existing monitors and peripherals, making it appealing for a DIY desktop setup. The main caveat is the small internal storage, which can feel tight for video work or large libraries, so it fits best when you are comfortable adding external storage.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, storage can be expanded externally very easily with Thunderbolt 4/USB4 SSDs, and several users report internal SSD replacement is possible on the 2024 Mac mini with a proprietary module. For most people, external storage is the simpler path; internal replacement may require another Mac and a restore process.
Yes. The common workflow is to buy at Best Buy first, then use chat or order support with a Micro Center link and a store ZIP code showing stock. Best Buy then issues a refund or credit for the difference, often within minutes to a few hours, though some cases take longer.
Usually yes, but the exact requirement is inconsistent. Some matches were approved using a Micro Center store in another state or far away, while other attempts were denied when the linked store was out of stock or the rep enforced a local-stock rule.
It is enough for light use, but many consider it tight for media, photo libraries, or pro video work. Several comments recommend pairing the base model with an external SSD or choosing the 512GB model if you need more local space.
Yes for general desktop use, browsing, iMessage/FaceTime integration, Plex/Immich/Docker, and even some audio or emulator workloads. One caveat is that music-production users mentioned Bluetooth latency/channel issues, and storage is the main limitation for heavier workflows.

Called their phone number and try to buy it that way.. the guy said he couldn't do it either because there are no overrides available to go below their current sale price $479?! What ?!
