This is a deal that's hard to beat. I was looking at picking up an inexpensive mini-PC by Minisforum or GMKTek but at $400 you'd have to be crazy to buy anything other than this. Nothing even comes close to the value proposition here.

Best Buy would not price match for me, even with the St David's stock. The reason I got was "we can't price match on sale items" and that the computerized system would not let her complete the request. (They have it listed for 479 now). This was after having to turn down both the BB Credit Card as well as Applecare.

As others have said, Best Buy will say they are unable to price match to $399.99 and may offer to do a refund after you place the order. My agent dropped the price from $479.99 to $459.99 and then said I would get the $60+tax refund after I place the order and talk to another agent/team.

Unfortunately it was not that smooth. I placed the order but then the next agent was so incompetent I couldn't believe it, the worst chat support experience of my life and wasted ~45 minutes. I then restarted the chat again and the next person told me that they couldn't process the refund because the item was being prepared to ship (this is an hour after I ordered it). So I asked for a cancellation and she said that's not possible either and when I pushed she said the chat isn't productive and ended it.

Then the 4th agent I spoke to finally was helpful and said they were able to initiate the refund and that I would get it in within 7-10 business days. However I still haven't gotten an email confirmation of that refund, even though she said I would.

Seems like you need to be lucky and get a competent agent in order to do this price match successfully. I'm still skeptical whether I will actually get the refund at this point, but I have screenshots at least.

I did. HUCA worked, another agent agreed to refund me the difference right away, but I haven't received the confirmation email and the refund transaction hasn't appeared yet. Hopefully I will receive the refund before MC cancels my pickup order as they only hold the items for 3 days, and the third day falls on Christmas, so effectively 2 days only.

Honestly, I'm traveling through PA on my way home for the Holiday, just reserved one at MC and would rather leave a bit earlier to pick up in time rather than deal with this BB agent lottery.

High lag latency? I'm actually thinking about getting this for audio production as Windows PCs, no matter how high end they are, can experience DPC Latency issues with specific hardware configurations. There's a DPC Latency database for laptops and pre-builts, but in terms of DIY PCs, there's no way to know when picking parts.
