Then don't. Why are you on deals specifically related to their products then. I'd add it to your New Year's resolution.

Not helpful. This is 10% off, which is a decent deal, and actually currently available. If you think there's currently better out there, share a link.
no one has a Time Machine, and for someone shipping for a Christmas gift, this saves $50 over wherever else they'd find it. If you wait 2 years, yeah, youd probably find a better deal, but that doesn't make this a bad deal.

Nintendo aren't making this bundle anymore. That's why all the retailers have been selling for this price, getting rid of the outdated stock.

The Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle is being treated as a solid current price for a hard to find package, especially since the bundle has been discontinued and remaining stock is being cleared out. The $449.99 tag is described as about 10 percent off, and the included game is expected to cost more on its own later. Cash back and gift card promos can push the effective price much lower, with some orders landing around the low 400s or even the 200s after rewards. The main hesitation is waiting for a future OLED version, though that likely means paying more and waiting longer.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. The bundle is confirmed as discontinued and no longer being made, so current listings are clearing remaining stock. That also means Mario Kart World may eventually be sold separately at full price.

  • The Prime credit card promo can drop the effective cost to about $240-$297 after taxes, depending on the gift card amount and cash back used. Slower shipping can also add extra cash back, which lowers the final out-of-pocket cost further.

  • An OLED Switch 2 is expected eventually, but it will likely cost more than this bundle and may not be cheaper than the current price. Waiting can make sense if you only want OLED, but buying now gets you the Switch 2 plus Mario Kart World at a known discount.

  • Yes, using Amazon cash back can make the Amazon deal more attractive than Best Buy. One setup combined Discover 5% cash back with a sale on a PowerA case, and another used Prime Store Card cash back to bring the effective price down further.

Thanks, snagged one for the wife. I was about to pull the trigger on the BB deal but guess I could use the Discover 5% CB on Amazon. Also got the PowerA Case on sale as well. Now I need a deal on a PS5 Pro for myself 😄
You missed the PayPal 20% CB combined with BB giving $175 for PS4 Pro trade-in. Of course that deal would have been smoking if it happened before Sony hiked up the price by $100 then went on "sale" by $100.

Where can I currently get a better deal? The 12 month no interest with the Prime card is also a selling point for me.
Just remember you lose the 5% back when using that

Deal is dead. Like someone else said it's at Best Buy for $450 but decided to sign up for the Amazon Prime credit card and buy it from there so got a $250 gift card, brought down the price to $297 after tax and with slower shipping it gives you 8% back instead of 5% so I'm paying like $270 after it's all said and done and I use my cash back towards this (assuming the 8% is on what I actually paid after using the gift card, if it's for the entire purchase price of $500 then it will end up being around $250 instead)

If you're on the fence about the Switch 2 and you're able to get this deal just do it. Switch 2's price will most likely increase next year due to the RAM shortages

Looks like this deal is now dead at Amazon. It's still on at best buy though.

Nobody should be buying this product until they come up with a OLED version that includes TMR joysticks, this is ridiculous.
