This is likely a mistake. The developer's own website mentions it is 42% off for the Switch 2 version. The eShop likely switched the Witcher 3 discount (lists 75% on developer's website but has 42% discount on eShop) with this game. Buy before they fix it.

Yes cross platform saves work but both versions have to be the same ..since the switch 2 is the ultimate version you would need the ultimate version on whatever else you're saving on .....you can't cross save ...base game with the ultimate edition

Never going to happen. Nintendo charges third party companies $15 per unit for just the game card and then there's the packaging charge on top of that.

Community Reviews

Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on Switch 2 is being treated as an unusually cheap way to get the full game and Phantom Liberty, with strong praise for the story, exploration, voice acting, music, and seamless expansion content. It also stands out for portability, cross save support, and generally solid performance on Switch 2, especially for handheld play. The main caveat is storage, since the download is large and the 256GB internal memory fills fast. The price was also flagged as a Nintendo eShop pricing error that was later corrected, though purchases at the lower price were reportedly honored.

Common Questions (6)

  • Yes. The Switch 2 Ultimate Edition is the base game plus Phantom Liberty, and the deal is being compared against buying the DLC alone on other platforms. It's also noted that cross-save/DLC syncing can depend on owning Phantom Liberty on the other platform too.

    jnyipdaltodsixfiddyDaniols

  • Yes. CDPR later confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop discount in the Americas was incorrect and corrected it, while purchases made at the earlier price were left unaffected. Buyers who got it around $17.49-$18 were told their orders would be honored.

    KendoVladik007WittyCarpenter241brewin80

  • Yes, some people mention a PayPal digital gaming offer for 20% cash back on eligible merchants including Nintendo, and others stacked discounted eShop gift cards to get the effective price even lower. The offer has a cap, so it's best used on a larger purchase if available.

    OrangeLocket494schlacknickpeters731lemonadess9x

  • The digital version uses about one-quarter of the Switch 2's internal storage, so an SD card is useful if you're tight on space. The cartridge version is plug-and-play with everything on it, but this deal is digital only.

    Enchodusspec2Enchodusaparoche

  • Yes, cross-save works, but the versions have to match: the Switch 2 Ultimate Edition needs the Ultimate Edition on the other platform. If Phantom Liberty isn't owned on the other system, syncing can be restricted until it is purchased there.

    gcforrealOmegadeal2000DaniolsFrederickF3178

  • It reportedly runs decently on Switch 2, with expectations around 40 fps docked and 30 fps handheld. It won't match Series X, PS5, or a strong PC, but it is described as running very well overall and outperforming PS4 and Steam Deck.

This is a great game, right? Wasn't sure if this was one that didn't meet expectations or not.

Damn this went down fast. I think most people probably got it physical but for anyone that bought it digital for $60, tough luck.

I'm not a big fan of first person shooting games, but at this price I'm willing to take a risk that it is more than that and has a good storyline.

It finally became a great game. I'm replaying it right now on the PS4 (gonna go for the Silverhand ending). I have the Ultimate Edition on the Xbox X. If I had a Switch, I'd buy it again.

True it's been also delisted from "best deals" tab on the switch store. So if you wanted to buy it do it now! It'll likely get fixed to $42, which is the price it's at in other regions.

I played the base game in PS4. Loved it. I was waiting for phantom liberty to be on sale so I still have not played it. I have a Switch and will be getting a Switch 2 hopefully next year. My question is. 1/ what is the chance of me getting PL dlc in ps4 at a low price? 2/does it make sense to buy this UE switch2 version ? 3/ can I buy it even if I do not have a switch2 yet? Thanks.

I keep checking on this thread even though I don't even have a Switch 2 just to see if it's still live and not a mistake. It's one of the most smashing deals I've seen in awhile. Don't sleep on this, just get it, it's awesome!

Stupid question, but if I buy it, can I play it if I don't have Switch 2?
