Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on Switch 2 is being treated as an unusually cheap way to get the full game and Phantom Liberty, with strong praise for the story, exploration, voice acting, music, and seamless expansion content. It also stands out for portability, cross save support, and generally solid performance on Switch 2, especially for handheld play. The main caveat is storage, since the download is large and the 256GB internal memory fills fast. The price was also flagged as a Nintendo eShop pricing error that was later corrected, though purchases at the lower price were reportedly honored.
Common Questions (6)
Yes. The Switch 2 Ultimate Edition is the base game plus Phantom Liberty, and the deal is being compared against buying the DLC alone on other platforms. It's also noted that cross-save/DLC syncing can depend on owning Phantom Liberty on the other platform too.
Yes. CDPR later confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop discount in the Americas was incorrect and corrected it, while purchases made at the earlier price were left unaffected. Buyers who got it around $17.49-$18 were told their orders would be honored.
Yes, some people mention a PayPal digital gaming offer for 20% cash back on eligible merchants including Nintendo, and others stacked discounted eShop gift cards to get the effective price even lower. The offer has a cap, so it's best used on a larger purchase if available.
The digital version uses about one-quarter of the Switch 2's internal storage, so an SD card is useful if you're tight on space. The cartridge version is plug-and-play with everything on it, but this deal is digital only.
Yes, cross-save works, but the versions have to match: the Switch 2 Ultimate Edition needs the Ultimate Edition on the other platform. If Phantom Liberty isn't owned on the other system, syncing can be restricted until it is purchased there.
It reportedly runs decently on Switch 2, with expectations around 40 fps docked and 30 fps handheld. It won't match Series X, PS5, or a strong PC, but it is described as running very well overall and outperforming PS4 and Steam Deck.

"The discounts for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition displayed on Nintendo Switch 2 eShop in the Americas on December 22, 2025 were incorrect.
The situation is a result of an error we made when submitting the discount. We have corrected the error and new discounts have now been applied.
Purchases made at the previous discount rate are unaffected by this change."
Classy move and good reason to continue supporting some of the goat game makers.

This isn't my type of game (i bought it). I spent an hour with it.. but honestly I'm glad I didn't pay more than $18 for it.. I would have been disappointed.. I can't believe people spend $40 - $70 on these games. there's so much dialogue in this game to skip.
Because I bought on split second decision.. I didn't have any time to do research on the game I was buying. I'm sure this developer made way more money over this price mistake than they would have if they had set it at intended sale price.
