The Walmart link is actually sold and shipped from Walmart. Tempted to pick it up and return it if it is crap.

I just saw the 55% review on Amazon that you mentioned--folks often just think they can divide a power bank's capacity (in mAh) by their phone's capacity (also in mAh) to figure out how many charges they can get. It does not work this way. There are losses due to efficiency on both bumping Li-ion nominal 3.7/4.2V voltage up to USB's 5V, and then on the receiving device, downstepping it and recharging the batteries in that recipient device. There are efficiency losses every step of the way. Even primo devices like my Anker Prime A1340 must obey the laws of physics.
I am under no illusion that this Emerson power bank does not exaggerate its specs! But for $32.31 and the nifty TFT screen (if you are a geek), I am willing to give it a shot.
When it comes in, I'll try to devise a side-by-side test with the Anker Prime A1340 to see how it fares.
