I had a $50 eBay coupon. No idea why, but it applied to Secondipity, so I got a pair of XM4s for $101 after tax

It may be from a recent promo where you'd receive two $50 coupons for buying something off EBay Live (or whatever it's called)

I know people freak out about the band breaking on these, but I've had a pair for over a year, use them most days, have a kind of big head, and they're fine. They feel sturdy to me. The sound is amazing.

The hinge where it meets the earcup has some notoriety for being fragile. Lots of Reddit posts about it if you want to look it up, but some report no problems. My wife had these and they broke just after a year despite decent care. Sony has a repair program for them, but it will cost you $99.

Not worth it then. Seems too risky...why gamble with the chance of them breaking, when XM4 is fine. Or the customer can get another brand altogether.

It is certified refurbished. Within 2 years of breaking, you can get it repaired for free. I did
