Seems once you use it for an order cancelled or fulfilled, it's just long gone.

Soon as you use it, it's burned. Cancellation of an order or doing a return doesn't bring it back.

This is also true of reward points. Make you you really want an item and intend on keeping it before cashing in a huge amount of reward points on it.

Many stores like to refund the points back to your account if it was their fault (no stock, canceled etc). But if it was returned by customer it can't. I've asked customer service before.
