This Govee 100 foot RGBIC strip is best for colorful ambient lighting and whole room scenes, with the RGBIC setup letting different sections show different colors instead of one color across the entire strip. The Govee ecosystem is a major draw too, with app control, Alexa and Google Assistant support, Matter, scene syncing, and easy replacement support. The main catch is that the two 50 foot strips share a single adapter, so running them separately or cutting one down is not straightforward. It is also not the Pro version, so exposed installs can show LED dots unless the strip is tucked away or diffused.
Common Questions (5)
No. This kit uses a single adapter/controller setup for both 50ft strips connected in the middle, so running them separately requires buying another compatible adapter/controller.
It can be cut, but keeping both pieces functional separately may require extra hardware or a WLED conversion. If you want two independent strips, you may need a second adapter/controller rather than relying on the stock setup.
RGBIC can show different colors on the same strip at the same time, while regular RGB strips display one color across the whole length. The IC feature is the main reason this listing costs more.
Yes, the individual LED dots can show unless the strip is hidden, reflected off nearby surfaces, or covered with diffusers. The Pro version handles that look better, but it costs more.
No. This listing is not the Pro version and does not have the clear coating gel for outdoor use.
